comics" by her peers. Wanda Sykes’s smart-witted stand-up has
sent her career in many different areas.

Sykes can currently be seen in her new TV show "Wanda at
Large." Wanda Sykes can also be heard on Comedy Central's Crank
Yankers. The
comedy delivers crank calls to real people and they are delivered to
the audience through the use of puppets.
Wanda Sykes was born in Portsmouth, Virginia and raised in Maryland.
Wanda Sykes graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Hampton
University. Wanda Sykes’ stand-up career began at a Coors
Light Super talent showcase in Washington, DC where Wanda Sykes performed for
the first time in front of a live audience. Wanda Sykes has since been
seen in the biggest colleges, universities and comedy clubs in the
country.
